Finally got to meet Miss Melissa and her other half! And, what do ya know! They are just as awesome in person as they have been through email and in blogland. Love it when that happens.

photo by geri: Oh So Delicioso portraits
Some cooking queens (who also happen to be some of my super rad homies) cozied up to my camera. Also, I got to pull out my vintage floral fabric (aka: old bed sheet found at DI 5 yrs ago) for a quirky photo booth—something I've been itching to do for a very long time. Thanks for being the bomb–digs, girls! ;)

photo by geri: santa monica senior portraits
Kendall, Jason's littlest sister who might be the tallest of them all, is graduating. Graduating! To celebrate we thought some rad senior portraits might be in order. So when she came for a spring break visit we took pictures all up in Santa Monica Pier's business, and then she whipped out some of her ballet moves on the beach. It was a really, really good day.

As you know life has not been normal over the last year. Thus, there is a lot of catching up to do in the editing/posting of photos area. I'll be sharing some beautiful sessions and I hope to be gearing up to start shooting again toward the end of this month or something. So that's fun!

New Photo by Geri Blogsite!!!!
So I have written this post several times—all resulting in incoherrant babble. Luckily I have asked Jas to come pre-read it for me before I hit publish and his response was something like, "On a scale from 1 to Exhausted where do you think you are?" Soooo I set out to yet again write something that someone out there can understand...... here goes:
There have been many many many long days and late nights working over the past few weeks and now there is a glimmer of light at the end of my tunnel (thank heaven!) and some of the projects are staring to come together (I literally just heaved a heavy sigh of relief right there).
These projects are good too.... I am so excited to share them with you!
One of the biggest things I've been cooking up is a rebrand for Photo by Geri and a whole new photo blogsite! Yay!! Photo by Geri is now a true, blue .com sort of business. For some reason web hosting and all the .com madness has been so intimidating to me—but once I took the plunge I never looked back and I am pretty happy with the results.
There is still work to be done—but it's finally presentable for the public and a brand new, awesome session is just waiting to be looked at by Y.O.U. Yay!!!!

It was so fun to get to know this optometric gentleman better while we did some professional headshots. He's Canadian, is checking "live somewhere in Asia for a while" off his bucket list in August and will very soon be the smiley eye doc you and all your kids go to for a check up.

Hey remember when it was winter time in Idaho? Oh, it was snowing just last week? Well this family session will take right back to just after Christmas when the snow was still white and the trees were still glittery.... and everyone was still happy about it.
